Tell you about the correct maintenance knowledge of contact lens microscope

1. When using it, you must strictly follow the steps to operate, be familiar with the performance of each part of the microscope, and master the relationship between the direction of rotation of the coarse and fine adjustment buttons and the lifting of the lens barrel. When turning the coarse adjustment knob down, the eye must be fixed on the objective lens.

2. When moving the microscope, hold the mirror arm with one hand and the mirror stand with the other hand, and keep the upper arms close to the chest wall. Do not lift it with one hand and swing it back and forth to prevent the lens or other parts from falling.

3. When observing temporary specimens with liquid, a cover sheet should be added, and tilt joints cannot be used to prevent liquid from contaminating the lens and microscope.

4. When observing specimens with a contact lens microscope, the microscope should keep a certain distance (5cm) from the edge of the laboratory table to prevent the microscope from tipping over and falling to the ground. The inclination angle between the mirror column and the mirror arm shall not exceed 45 degrees, and it shall be restored immediately after use.

5. It is forbidden to unscrew or change parts such as eyepiece, objective lens and condenser at will.

6. Coarse and fine adjustment knobs should be used together. The fine adjustment knob should not be over-rotated in one direction. When adjusting the focal length, watch the lens barrel drop from the side to avoid crushing the specimen and lens.

7. To observe the specimen with a monocular microscope, both eyes should be opened at the same time, the left eye is used to observe the image, the right eye is used for drawing, the left hand adjusts the focus, and the right hand moves the specimen or draws.

8. After using the oil lens to observe the sample, immediately wipe the lens of the oil lens and the slide with xylene to prevent other objective glass from being stained with cedar oil. Xylene is poisonous, wash your hands immediately after use.

9. If there is dirt on the optical parts of the microscope, it can be wiped off with lens cleaning paper or silk cloth. Do not wipe it with fingers, rough paper or handkerchief, so as not to damage the mirror surface.

10. All corrosive and volatile chemical reagents and medicines, such as iodine, ethanol solution, acids, alkalis, etc., should not be in contact with the microscope. If they are accidentally polluted, they should be wiped clean immediately. Do not remove the eyepiece arbitrarily to prevent dust from falling into the lens barrel.

11. After the experiment is finished, take out the glass slide, wipe the lens clean with lens cleaning paper and remove it, so that it cannot be opposite to the light hole. Wrap it in silk cloth and put it back in the mirror case. Never expose the microscope to direct light.
