Tell you the eight precautions for using a stereo microscope
When using anything, certain precautions should be taken, and of course, using a stereo microscope is no exception. Many friends are not very careful when using a stereo microscope, and often find some pessimistic things, such as damaging the objective lens of the stereo microscope, small parts falling off the stereo microscope, and more importantly, damaging the stereo microscope.
Why are these sad things happening? In fact, many times it is because we do not pay attention when using the stereo microscope. We place it in a damp place, and when there is dust, we directly wipe it with our hands or a cloth. When operating, we like to use one hand to hold the mirror, which leads to tragic events. So how can we avoid such incidents from happening? Below, the editor will explain what precautions should be taken when using a stereo microscope.
1. Stereo microscope is a high-end instrument with certain environmental requirements. It must be placed in a place with light, moisture-proof, and low dust. A humid environment can easily damage the stereo microscope and affect its function. Therefore, when not in use, it is necessary to cover it with a dust-proof cloth to prevent dust from entering.
2. When adjusting the objective lens and other devices, be as careful as possible and move gently. Because it requires adjustment in many places, it is even more important to note that poor adjustment can easily damage the observed object and the instrument. When replacing the objective lens and thin film, be careful not to forcefully pull them off.
3. When operating, it is necessary to maintain a mirror holding position with the right hand holding the arm and the left hand supporting the seat. Do not hold the mirror with one hand to avoid some parts falling off or colliding with other places, which may cause damage to the stereo microscope.
4. A large proportion of people have the habit of observing with one eye, which is inconvenient when using a stereo microscope. They should keep both eyes open for observation, because while observing the field of view with the left eye, the right eye is also used for drawing.
5. Users should pay attention to maintaining the cleanliness of the stereo microscope, with strict requirements for the optical and lighting parts. When cleaning, only lens wiping paper can be used. When wiping the lens, professional lens wiping paper should be used, and the cutting action should not be too large. Especially avoid blowing with your mouth, wiping with your hands, or wiping with a cloth. Do not allow acidic, alkaline or other reagents to flow into the stage or lens. If this occurs, it should be wiped dry in a timely manner.
6. During use, adhere to the principle of handling with care, and be careful not to casually place the stereo microscope on the edge of the experimental table to prevent accidental overturning and landing.
7. When placing the slide specimen, it is necessary to align it with the center of the light hole and remember not to place it upside down to avoid crushing the slide or damaging the objective lens. In addition, operators should not disassemble the instrument at will to avoid damage and affecting the effectiveness of use.
8. After using the stereo microscope, it is necessary to follow the prescribed steps to restore it. Check if the power is turned off, and then put it back into the mirror box. Do not immediately cover it with a dust cloth, wait until it cools down before covering it. Also, adjust the objective lens to the lowest position and check for any loose screws on a regular basis
