The advantages and the use of the non-contact infrared thermometer
Advantages of using non-contact infrared thermometer: The non-contact infrared thermometer uses infrared technology for measurement, and does not need to touch the measured object during measurement. It only needs to aim and press the board to quickly and accurately measure the surface temperature, and the measurement data is directly displayed on the LCD screen. The infrared thermometer is lightweight, small in size, convenient to use, and can reliably measure heat, dangerous, and other difficult to distinguish objects without polluting or damaging the measured object
The usage method of non-contact infrared thermometer
1. When using a non-contact infrared thermometer to measure temperature, point the non-contact infrared thermometer at the object being measured and press the button. At this time, pay attention to the ratio between distance and the size of the measurement area. The machine is equipped with a laser light for aiming at the object being measured.
2. The object distance ratio (D: S) refers to the ratio of the measured distance to the surface area of the object being measured. When the distance between the non-contact infrared thermometer and the object being measured increases, a larger surface area is required between the thermometer and the object being measured. D:S=12:1 3, The observation range must ensure that the measured target is larger than the measurement area of the machine. The minimum diameter of the tested area should be at least 1.5 square centimeters.
4. The emissivity of most organic materials, paints, or oxidizing materials is 0.95 (already set in this machine). Smooth or polished metal surfaces may result in inaccurate measurement values. When compensating, it is necessary to cover the surface with a strip or black paint and wait for it to reach the same temperature as the material below before conducting temperature measurements.
5. Press the battery switch, correctly install the battery, press the switch button to turn it on, and the LCD will display the battery symbol, temperature value, and retention time of the value is about 7 seconds.
6. Select the appropriate distance based on the size of the measured object, align it with the measured object, press the button switch, and the LCD will display the temperature value and reading.
Several factors that affect the measurement accuracy of non-contact infrared thermometers:
1. Emissivity: The emissivity of a general object surface is 0.95, and the emissivity of various other materials can be found in published emissivity tables.
2. Field of view: The ratio of the distance from the infrared thermometer to the measured object to the size of the measured spot.
3. Object distance ratio: Ensure that the area of the measured object is larger than the spot size measured by the infrared thermometer. The smaller the area of the measured object, the closer it should be to the text. Working principle of infrared thermometer: The infrared thermometer consists of an optical system, a photodetector, a signal amplifier, signal processing, display output, and data analysis. The optical system gathers the infrared radiation energy of the target in its field of view, which is then concentrated on the photodetector and converted into a corresponding electrical signal. This signal is then converted into the temperature value of the measured target.
