2. Components
The soldering iron core is the key part of the electric soldering iron. The heating wire is wound on a hollow porcelain tube in parallel, the mica sheet in the middle is insulated, and two wires are drawn out to connect to the 220V AC power supply.

There are many specifications of external heating electric soldering iron. Common specifications are 25W, 45W, 75W, 100W, etc. The higher the power, the higher the temperature of the soldering iron tip.
The power specification of the soldering iron core is different, and its internal resistance is different. The resistance value of a 25W soldering iron is about 2kΩ, the resistance value of a 45W iron is about 1kΩ, the resistance value of a 75W iron is about 0.6kΩ, and the resistance value of a 100W iron is about 0.5kΩ.
4. Materials used
The soldering iron tip is made of red copper material, its function is to store heat and conduct heat, and the temperature must be much higher than the temperature to be soldered.
The temperature of the soldering iron is related to the volume, shape and length of the soldering iron tip. When the volume of the soldering iron tip is relatively large, the holding time will be longer.
