1. The shape of the commonly used direct-heating soldering iron tip is mostly chisel type, similar to the chisel style used by fitters. According to the requirements of the surface to be welded, the angle of the chisel iron tip is 45° and 10-25°, and the width is also different. When soldering products with high assembly density, in order to avoid scalding the surrounding components and wires, and to facilitate access to deep solder joints, an elongated chisel tip can be used.

Among the above-mentioned chisel-type soldering iron tips, the heat with a large angle is more concentrated, and the temperature drops slowly, which is suitable for welding general solder joints; the temperature of the small angle drops quickly, and it is suitable for welding components that are more sensitive to temperature.

2. Conical soldering iron tip, suitable for soldering small solder joints of small electronic devices.

3. Internally heated electric soldering irons are commonly used with round beveled soldering iron heads, which are suitable for soldering printed circuit boards and general solder joints.

4. When using the internal heating type electric soldering iron to solder the printed circuit board, the notch soldering iron head and the hollow soldering iron head can be used. Using these two kinds of soldering iron tips can make soldering more convenient, but the trimming of these two kinds of soldering iron tips is more troublesome.
