The design of the microscope and the procedures and experimental techniques used

1) Mirror base: The mirror base, which is made up of the base and the mirror arm, is the microscope's main structural support. It is attached to the stage and lens barrel, which serve as the framework for mounting the optical magnification system's parts. The entire microscope is stabilized and supported by the base and mirror arm.

2) Lens barrel: To create a dark space between the eyepiece and the objective lens, the lens barrel is attached to the converter at the bottom and the eyepiece at the top (installed under the converter). The mechanical barrel length is the measurement between the back edge of the objective lens and the back end of the lens barrel. because the objective lens's magnification is set for a specific lens barrel length. The image quality is impacted by the length of the lens barrel in addition to the magnification. Therefore, it is impossible to vary the length of the lens barrel at will when using a microscope. The outside shell of the objective lens is typically stamped with the number 160mm, which is the standard barrel length for microscopes around the world. Both monocular and binocular lens barrels are available. While there are two types of monoculars—vertical and inclined—binoculars are all tilted.

3) Objective lens changer: Three to four objective lenses, usually three, can be fitted on the objective lens changer (low magnification, high magnification and oil lens). The eyepiece creates a magnification system when one of the objective lenses is turned to the appropriate alignment with the lens barrel (notice that the objective lens cannot be rotated; this rotation just changes the lens).

4) Stage: The stage has a hole in the middle enabling light to travel through. On the stage, there are spring sample holders and pushers that are used to adjust and change the sample's location so that the subject of the microscope examination is precisely in the center of the field of vision.

5) Pusher: This mechanical tool is used to transport specimens. It consists of a horizontal and vertical push gear shaft and a metal frame. The vertical and horizontal rods of a good microscope have scales engraved on them that create extremely accurate plane coordinates. Tie. In order to discover a particular part that needs to be observed repeatedly, we can write down the values for the vertical and horizontal scales and then go to the same value.

6) Coarse adjustment handwheel (coarse spiral): This tool quickly rotates to change the distance between the objective lens and the specimen.

7) Fine-tuning handwheel (fine screw): The coarse-tuning handwheel may only be used to roughly alter the focus. You must make delicate adjustments using the macro-pitch screw to obtain the clearest object image.
