The digital multimeter's resistance file cannot be reset to zero.
Press and hold the HOLD+RANGE key at the same time for 10 seconds to be 0.
There are portable devices for basic fault diagnosis of digital multimeters, and there are also devices placed on the workbench, and some resolutions can reach seven or eight digits.
Digital multimeter is an electronic instrument used in electrical measurement. It can have many special functions, but the main function is to measure voltage, resistance and current. Digital multimeter, as a modern multi-purpose electronic measuring instrument, is mainly used in the measurement fields of physics, electricity and electronics.
Safety Features of Digital Multimeter
1. Fuse current input protection.
2. Use a high-energy fuse (600 volts or higher).
3. High voltage protection (500 volts or higher) in resistive mode.
4. Voltage transient protection (6000 volts or higher).
5. Safely designed test leads, safety handles, etc.
6. Independent security certification.
The ohm gear of the multimeter is broken, how to repair it
The first is to directly measure the resistance, let's talk about the traditional multimeter first. Turn the pointer to the gear as shown in the picture (ohm gear Ω). This is the gear for measuring resistance.
The starting position 0 of the current and voltage readings is on the left, and the starting position 0 of the resistance is on the right. Find the dial line of the resistance reading, and the reading will be read from here later.
Connect the two nibs of the multimeter and see if the pointer points to 0. If the multimeter does not have a mechanical adjustment, turn it to zero (if it cannot be adjusted to 0, the battery is dead)
Place the two nibs on both ends of the resistance to measure the reading. At this time, the resistance value is read out. This method cannot measure the insulation resistance. Resistance value = gear position × reading For example, the gear position is 100Ω and the reading is 30, which is 3K ohms.
The digital one is simpler, just switch the gear to the ohm range and read.
