The Fix for the Coating Thickness Gauge's Significant Measurement Error

One is a power check. The instrument will display a low voltage symbol when the power supply voltage is low; this indicates that it is time to change the battery to prevent accuracy issues. To prevent the battery from being depleted too quickly, the backlight cannot be left on for an extended period of time.

Number of readings, in two. Each reading from the equipment is typically not exactly the same, necessitating multiple measurements in each measurement location as well as additional measurements due to regional variations in covering layer thickness.

Three: To maintain measurement accuracy while measuring curved surfaces and cylinders with short radius of curvature, it should be calibrated on an uncoated workpiece.

Four: It should be re-calibrated when measuring on a concave surface with a tiny radius of curvature.

Five: In order to avoid influencing the measurement accuracy, check to see if the standard sample is deformed, such as from fouling or distortion. If so, it should be replaced quickly.

Sixth: The probe has been used. Make sure the probe's front end isn't covered with dirt, clean it quickly, and keep the probe clean. Long-term contact between the probe and the thing being measured will result in wear and tear. If it is utilized regularly, the probe needs to be promptly replaced.
