The main difference between a soldering station and a soldering iron
1. Soldering stations generally have anti-static functions, but electric soldering irons do not.
2. The soldering station can control the temperature, and the life of the electric soldering iron tip and the life of the heating core are much longer than that of the electric soldering iron tip.
3. The soldering efficiency of the soldering station is higher than that of the electric soldering iron, the thermal efficiency can reach about 80%, and the electric soldering iron is at most 50%.
4. The energy consumption of the soldering station is lower than that of the electric soldering iron. For the same welding effect, the power consumption of the soldering station is much less than that of the electric soldering iron.
5. The voltage of the handle of the soldering station is only 24 volts of AC. Within the safe range, there will be no electric shock.
6. The temperature recovery speed of the soldering station is faster, and the corresponding welding efficiency is relatively high.
We often solder on a fixed desktop, and the soldering station has obvious advantages.
1. The soldering station has a power switch, turn it on when it is in use, and turn it off when it is not in use. It is simpler than turning on the TV, as simple as turning on and off the light.
2. There is an indicator light. If you forget to turn off the soldering station, you can see at a glance whether the soldering station is still working from a few meters away.
3. With the function of constant temperature and temperature adjustment, the tip of the soldering iron is not easy to burn out and has a long service life.
4. Recovering temperature is faster. It is no problem to desolder the electrolytic capacitor on the computer motherboard. A soldering station can be used as a 30W soldering iron or a 60W soldering iron.
I have compared the 40W external thermoelectric soldering iron with the imitation 936 soldering station, and the efficiency of replacing the motherboard capacitor. A 30W soldering iron took 1.5 hours and almost broke the motherboard. Using a 936 soldering station, it took only ten minutes to replace the new capacitors, a total of 21 capacitors.
Remove the motherboard capacitor with a pointed round tip soldering iron, and install the capacitor on a large area of copper.
1. Use new tin to overlay two solder joints, melt the solder joints at the same time, wait for more than ten seconds, and let the PCB board heat up.
2. With the other hand, shake and pull gently to take out the capacitor.
3. If the soldering hole is big enough, pierce through the soldering hole with a pointed round soldering iron tip, and then pull it out to bring most of the solder.
4. Use a toothpick to make holes.
5. Solder the new capacitor. If you feel that the temperature rise is not enough, you may use the measuring surface of the soldering iron to solder.
The advantage of ordinary soldering irons is that they are portable. The disadvantage is that the requirements for the operator's welding skills are relatively high. Personally, I think that if you can use a normal soldering iron, it will be very easy to use a soldering station. I am used to a soldering station, not necessarily an ordinary soldering iron.
