The metallographic analyzer and the accompanying metallographic microscope require maintenance and upkeep in daily use. Its maintenance is the same as that of general Optical instrument. It should be placed in a cool, dry place free of dust, acid, alkali and steam. When not in use, it should be covered with a hood. All lenses of the metallographic image analyzer have been calibrated and shall not be disassembled by themselves. If there is any stain on the mirror surface, it can be gently wiped with a Cotton wool slightly dipped in alcohol mixture (mixing ratio: 7:3). Pay attention not to allow alcohol to penetrate into the inside of the objective lens to prevent the lens from degumming. The dust on the mirror surface can be blown off with a hair dryer or gently wiped off with a clean brush. When cleaning the mechanical parts, it is necessary to apply non corrosive lubricants. When applying oil, be particularly careful not to touch optical parts, especially the objective lens. After use, the objective and eyepiece of the microscope should be placed in a container containing desiccant (provided by oneself). The manufacturer will not be bound or notified of any changes to the eyepiece specifications and equipment. The cylinder cover is placed on the mirror cylinder to prevent dust. After the 100X objective lens is used, wipe the oil with a soft cloth and Cotton wool dipped in the mixture immediately.
Method for replacing bulb of metallographic analyzer microscope: before replacing the bulb, unplug the instrument power plug, after the bulb cools down, lay the microscope down sideways, and open the lamp room cover at the bottom of the Microscopium to replace the bulb. When replacing a light bulb, be careful not to touch the bulb directly with your fingers. Be careful not to smudge the surface of the lamp with finger grease. Do not turn on the microscope power switch until the lamp compartment cover is closed. After replacing the bulb, the center of the filament should be checked, and the bulb can be moved slightly up, down, left, and right until the filament spot is basically located at the center of the aperture light bar.
