The principle and application of pump suction gas detector

When we use gas detectors, we often encounter various models and detection principles of instruments, among which the pump type gas detector is widely used. However, due to the user's lack of knowledge and limited experience in gas detection, they cannot use or maintain the pump type gas detection alarm. Today, we will explain the principle and application of the pump type gas detector to everyone.

The detection principle of pump suction gas detector

The working principle of a pump type gas detector is the same as that of a diffusion type gas detector. The sample gas is detected through the instrument's sensors, and then converted into corresponding values through circuit amplification and display on the screen. Combustible gases are commonly used as catalytic combustion sensors, while toxic gases are commonly used as electrochemical sensors.

The pump suction gas detector is equipped with a small air pump in the instrument, which works by driving the power supply to sample the gas in the area to be tested, and then sending the sample gas into the instrument for detection.

Advantages and disadvantages of pump suction gas detectors

The advantages of a pump type gas detector are: fast detection speed, remote measurement of hazardous areas, maintenance of personnel safety, and the same as diffusion type gas detectors.

The disadvantage is that the price is relatively expensive.

Application of pump suction gas detector

Pumped gas detectors are often used for special occasions, such as gas concentration detection in tunnels, pipelines, sewers, tanks, sealed containers, etc. that are not suitable for humans to enter or are difficult to enter. Common ones include: pump type oxygen detector, pump type hydrogen sulfide detector, pump type chlorine gas detector, pump type hydrogen chloride detector, pump type combustible gas detector, etc.
