The reason why the soldering iron does not stick to tin
1. Choosing a temperature that is too high can easily cause severe oxidation of the soldering iron tip on the tin surface.
2. Do not eat tin on the tin coated surface before use.
3. Using incorrect or defective cleaning methods.
4. Interruption of flux in impure solder or welding wire.
5. When the working temperature exceeds 350 ℃ and the soldering stops for more than 1 hour, the amount of solder on the lead-free soldering iron tip is too low.
6. Dry burning "electric soldering iron tips, such as when the soldering table is open and not in use, and the surface of the electric soldering iron tip is not soldered, can cause rapid oxidation of the electric soldering iron tip.
7. The flux used is highly corrosive, causing rapid oxidation of the soldering iron tip.
8. Using neutral and active soldering flux, without frequently cleaning the oxide on the soldering iron tip.
9. Contact with organic substances such as plastics, lubricants, or other compounds. The usual handling method.
How to restore a soldering iron that does not stick to tin
1. Reduce the temperature of the soldering station to around 280 degrees, place the soldering iron tip on a damp sponge and repeatedly wipe it with new solder protection without interruption. Repeat the above steps until the lead-free soldering iron tip is shiny and soldered.
2. Turn off the power supply of the soldering iron, use a blade or fine sandpaper to polish off the dirt and oxides on the tin plated surface of the soldering iron tip, then place the soldering iron tip into rosin or rosin paste, turn on the soldering iron power supply, adjust the temperature to around 280 degrees, let the soldering iron tip heat up in rosin, and then use solder wire to tin the soldering iron tip. After soldering, find a copper wire or solder suction wire and let the soldering iron tip rub repeatedly on the copper wire until the soldering iron is fully filled.
3. Adjust the temperature of the soldering iron to 300-360 degrees, insert it into the specialized soldering iron tip repair paste, wait for a few seconds, and then use a soldering wire to solder the soldering iron tip.
