The Solution to Large Measurement Error of Coating Thickness Gauge

One: power check. When the power supply voltage is low, the instrument will display a low voltage symbol, and the battery should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the accuracy. The backlight cannot be turned on for a long time, so as not to consume battery power too quickly.

Two: Number of readings. Usually the readings of the instrument are not exactly the same, so several measurements must be taken in each measurement area, and local differences in the thickness of the covering layer also require measurements in a given area.

Three: When measuring curved surfaces and cylinders, when the radius of curvature is small, it should be calibrated on an uncoated workpiece to ensure measurement accuracy.

Four: When measuring in a concave surface with a small radius of curvature, it should be re-calibrated.

Five: Check whether the standard sample is deformed, such as fouling and deformation, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy.

Six: The probe is worn. Check whether the front end of the probe is covered by dirt, clean it up in time, and keep the probe clean. Because the probe is in contact with the measured object for a long time, it will cause wear and tear. If it is used frequently, the probe should be replaced in time
