The working principle of gas electric soldering iron
The butane gas produced by liquefied butane is sprayed out at high speed from the storage tank, and the flame generated after ignition is used for heating. But it is not directly used to heat the soldering iron head (with low thermal efficiency), but to heat the porous ceramic substrate catalyst with flame, and when heated to red, emit a large amount of infrared radiation to heat the soldering iron head (patented technology). High thermal efficiency, flame temperature up to 1300 ℃, controlled by adjusting the size of the flame to keep the temperature between 200 ° C and 500 ° C.
It consists of a butane liquefied gas storage tank 1, a flame adjustment button 2, a switch 3, a piezoelectric ignition button 4, a sleeve 5, and a soldering iron head 6. The soldering iron head comes in various sizes and shapes, and can be replaced as needed.
If you want to use hot air to melt thermoplastic, you can replace the soldering iron head with a hot air head (Figure 4-a). If you want a heat shrink sleeve, you can put the thermoplastic sleeve head on the soldering iron head (Figure 4-b); If you want to use it as a flamethrower, just remove the sleeve and soldering iron head.

When using, first rotate to the right and turn on the gas source switch. At this time, you can hear the sound of gas flow and smell a little bit of gas. At this point, you can use a lighter to aim at the opening of the soldering iron head and ignite it, then pay attention to observation. The inside of the opening of the soldering iron head should quickly turn red. Ready to use, adjust the valve size of the soldering iron valve to control the temperature of the soldering iron head.
When adjusting the temperature, the temperature can also be determined by observing the brightness of the opening of the soldering iron head. When the valve is closed, there is a certain delay and the flame will not immediately extinguish. Also, be careful not to lower it too much, otherwise it will be very dangerous. There is a small hole at the bottom of the soldering iron for gas filling, which is the same as when using a lighter for gas filling.

The soldering iron head is a long-lasting soldering iron head made of pure copper as the substrate, processed with multiple layers of iron plating, chromium plating, and tin plating. It cannot be polished or changed in shape with a file. There are multiple models of soldering iron heads in the attachment. When purchasing, it is necessary to choose according to the needs. Due to the limited capacity of the gas storage tank, the preparation work should be done before welding, and then the soldering iron should be ignited. It is not possible to ignite it for a long time without use; Corrosive flux cannot be used during welding.
After heating, the soldering iron should not be placed directly on tables, plastic products, and other objects to avoid scalding. Be careful not to touch with your hands to avoid danger. If there are children nearby, be more careful. After use, store it after cooling.
