The RDM-3 is a highly capable wood moisture meter with multiple functions, making it easy for wood dealers to obtain accurate moisture content (% MC) measurements. One of the important features of this device is its built-in wood type and temperature correction function. These features allow RDM-3 to adjust readings based on the current type of wood being tested and the current temperature of the wood (as extreme temperatures can have a slight impact on moisture content measurement).

The specific advantage of ProScan as a wood dispenser hygrometer is its built-in species calibration function and calibration checks. The species correction function allows users to program based on the specific gravity of the tested wood, allowing the moisture meter to automatically adjust its moisture content measurement value. The built-in calibration check function can easily verify the accuracy of the instrument like pressing a button.
Please note that as a needle free instrument, this device is most suitable for testing wood that has been processed into a final product with a flat and smooth surface, such as hardwood flooring. A needle type moisture meter used for wood can better test raw or rough cut wood.
