Three steps to use electric soldering iron
(1) Select the appropriate solder, low melting point solder wire for soldering electronic components should be selected. The diameter is generally selected as 0.5-0.8 mm.
(2) Soldering flux, the most commonly used is rosin, its function is to form a protective layer on the solder and solder surface, so that it will not oxidize, so as to facilitate the infiltration of solder, and at the same time, it will take away too much as the rosin continues to evaporate. The heat, so that the temperature of the solder and the soldering surface is relatively stable without overheating. For flux, it is best to use 25% rosin dissolved in 75% alcohol (weight ratio) as flux. If welding oil is used, non-corrosive products should be selected.
(3) Solder requires tin content > 60%. At this time, solder has a minimum melting temperature and good fluidity. Solder is a white, soft and extensible metal that can be fully melted at about 260 degrees, and will be compatible with other metals ( Like copper, iron, etc.) the surface penetrates into each other to form a layer of alloy.
