Tips for Soldering Station - Desoldering Small Components such as RC Transistors

1): Remove components:

1. Add an appropriate amount of rosin to the component, gently clamp the component with tweezers, and evenly move and heat the small component with a heat gun (same as desoldering IC). The hand with the tweezers feels that the solder has melted, and the component can be removed.

2. Use a soldering iron to add an appropriate amount of solder on the component. The soldering iron tip is placed flat on the side of the component, so that the newly added solder is in a melted state, and the component can be removed. If the component is large, you can add more tin to the solder joint of the component, hold the component with tweezers, and quickly heat the two solder joints with a soldering iron until the two solder joints are in a melted state, then they can be removed.

2): install components:

1. Add an appropriate amount of rosin to the component, gently clamp the component with tweezers, align the component with the solder spot, move and heat the small component evenly with a heat gun, and release the tweezers after the solder under the component melts. (You can also put the components in place and heat them. After the solder is melted, touch the components with tweezers to align them.)

2. Use tweezers to gently clamp the component, and use a soldering iron to click on each pin of the component to complete the soldering. If there is less solder on the solder joint, you can put a small tin bead on the tip of the soldering iron and add it to the pin of the component.
