Tips to solve the problem that the soldering iron head does not hang tin

Oxidation of the soldering iron tip without tin is a common situation in maintenance work. The traditional treatment method is to put a small piece of tin in the rosin, and slowly "raise" the soldering iron tip in the tin after the soldering iron heats up. However, this method does not work if the tin is seriously not attached, so some people use sharp tools or sandpaper to "scrape" the tip of the soldering iron. Although the effect is good for a while, it will greatly shorten the service life of the soldering iron, which is not advisable.

You can try this method: take a circuit board and choose a solder joint with a larger area, apply solder oil or rosin on this solder joint, then hang thick tin, put a section of tin suction wire on it, and then use The soldering iron without tin heats the tin-absorbing wire and the solder joint together, so that tin melts into the tin-absorbing wire. Wipe the tip of the soldering iron on the tin suction line repeatedly, and a miracle will appear—the tip of the soldering iron is as bright as new.
