Two major factors contributing to the results of gas detectors

Firstly, the influence of human factors can be divided into three points:

1. The technical level, operational skills, and knowledge level of gas detection personnel;

2. The sense of responsibility of gas detection personnel towards their work;

3. The psychological and physiological conditions of gas detection personnel during operation.

The above three aspects are interrelated, but among them, the technical level and operational skills of gas detection personnel are the main ones. Personnel without technical skills cannot obtain highly reliable detection results. Therefore, providing level training for gas detection personnel to achieve the technical skills required by the level is an important measure to improve the reliability of detection results. Level training is the standardization of gas detection personnel's knowledge level and operational skills, so that operators at different levels can reach the same level after training. In this way, it is possible to obtain roughly the same detection results when detecting the same workpiece, achieving good comparability, reliability, and credibility.

The sense of responsibility of gas detection personnel is undoubtedly very important. Gas detection personnel with the same technical level may obtain different detection results due to different levels of work responsibility. Errors caused by weak work responsibility may have unimaginable and serious consequences. Educating gas detection personnel to establish a responsible work attitude is an important component of improving the reliability of detection results.

The physical and physiological condition of gas detection personnel during operation can also affect the reliability of detection results. Due to insufficient physical strength or excessive fatigue caused by long working hours, it can affect the operator's concentration and have adverse effects on the detection results, resulting in errors.

In order to minimize the adverse effects of human factors in the testing process, in addition to emphasizing personnel training, professional ethics education, and proper use of personnel, developing automated testing technology is an important way to improve the reliability of testing results and reduce human involvement throughout the entire testing process.

Besides human factors, objective factors also affect the reliability of test results, which can be divided into three aspects:

1. The impact on the performance of testing instruments and equipment;

2. Detecting the impact of working environment conditions;

3. The impact of limitations of different detection methods.

The performance of the testing instrument can also affect the accuracy of the testing results. Regardless of the detection method, the performance of instruments, equipment, and devices will affect the reliability of the detection to varying degrees. For example, if there are differences in performance when using probes of the same model, the measured results will also differ. Therefore, improving and enhancing the performance of detection instruments and equipment is an important aspect of improving detection reliability.
