Moisture meters for chemical analysis include: Karl Fischer Moisture Meter, Coulometric Moisture Meter, Dew Point Moisture Meter.
Karl Fischer method is a classical method, also known as trace moisture tester, which is mainly applied to the detection of samples with low moisture value, and has been improved in recent years, greatly improving the accuracy and expanding the measurement range.
Dew point moisture tester is easy to operate, the instrument is not complex, the measured results are generally satisfactory, commonly used in the determination of trace moisture in long-lasting gas. However, this method is more interference, some easy to cold exchange of gas, especially in the concentration of higher than the first water vapour condensation will produce interference.
Coulomb moisture meter is commonly used to determine the moisture contained in the gas. This method is easy to operate, rapid response, especially for the determination of trace moisture in gases. If the general chemical method is used to determine, it is very due to difficult things. However, the electrolysis method is not suitable for the determination of alkaline substances or conjugated diolefins.
