Use a moisture meter to test the moisture content of wooden flooring

 

Instead of spending hours carefully drying wood samples and weighing them to check their original moisture content, many DIY enthusiasts now use modern technology to quickly and accurately read the% MC of moving wood.

On the other hand, needle free instruments require complete contact between the scanning plate and the scanned material to obtain accurate measurement results.

 

In most cases, using these instruments is very simple.

To use a needle type wood hygrometer, simply insert the pin into the material to be tested and activate the instrument. The current will be transmitted from one pin to another, and the instrument will provide a reading based on the current impedance.

Using a needle free instrument, you only need to firmly press the base of the scanning board onto the wood you are inspecting and activate the instrument. Similarly, the instrument will run a scan and provide you with usable readings.

 

Needle less instruments scan large areas faster than needle instruments because they can measure larger areas. In addition, they do not leave pinholes in the tested wood - making them very suitable for measuring moisture in beautiful hardwood floors.

 

Some instruments may have more advanced features based on their manufacturer, such as built-in temperature or wood type calibration. To use these features, you may need to consult the personal user manual of the hygrometer.
