What are the detection standards of gas detector?

1. Inspect appearance and other items.
Check the appearance of the gas detector, which is to avoid minor problems in the process of transportation or production and assembly of the gas detector. We should check whether the appearance of the gas detector is flawed, cracked or damaged, and check whether the structure of the whole gas detector is complete. At the same time, check the machine model, label, manufacturer's name and delivery time on the gas detector body, and check them with the information given by the manual or manufacturer to ensure accuracy. At the same time, check the explosion-proof mark, measurement permission mark and number of this gas detector, which must be complete and clear. Some certificates can be provided by the manufacturer.

2, electricity check
The gas detector needs power supply for its work. Generally, it is powered by the built-in battery. We need to turn on the switch to check whether the gas detector is electrified normally. Some gas detectors let him continue to work by replacing the battery, while others are equipped with a charger. For the gas detector equipped with a charger, we need to test whether the charger is charged normally. In the case of normal electrification, we need to check whether the display screen of the gas detector is displayed normally.

3. Check whether the acousto-optic alarm of the instrument is normal.
For the gas detector with acousto-optic alarm signal, because it is powered by battery, when undervoltage is displayed, it should be able to send out an acoustic or optical indication signal which is obviously different from the alarm signal.

Indication error
The gas detector we bought is used to detect the gas concentration. The gas detector can't display the gas concentration completely, and there is an error, but there is a range of this error. If it exceeds this range, it means that the gas detector is not up to the standard, and the indicated error is different for different gases. For example, it is normal that the indication error of oxygen is within 0 and 5% vol.

Alarm error
As we mentioned above, the error of the displayed value, there is also a certain allowable error for the alarm value of the gas detector, because the instrument will be affected by various factors, and it is impossible to alarm at an accurate concentration every time, so the alarm concentration is allowed to exist, as long as the error is within the standard range. Its alarm error is different for different gases, for example, the alarm error of oxygen is within 0 and 1% vol.

Response time
Response time refers to the time it takes for the indicated value of the gas detector to rise from zero to 90% of the stable indicated value that the instrument should reach. This time is also required by the standard, which is different for different gas response times as well as the indicated error and alarm error.

Insulation withstand voltage
There are also some insulation withstand voltage standards that must be met for gas detectors. The standard requirements are: at room temperature: ≥ 100 mω; After damp heat: ≥ 1mω. The insulation strength should be able to withstand 500V AC voltage lmin, and there should be no discharge and breakdown. Only after these are met can the gas detector meet the standard.
