What are the fault problems encountered by gas detectors?

If the correct method is not used during the use of a gas detector, it may malfunction. Once a malfunction occurs, it may lead to inaccurate measurements and other results. To avoid this situation from affecting us, today we will mainly talk about the common faults of gas detectors.

Common faults of gas detectors
1. Improper user operation method:
When users use gas detectors, installing the instrument near air conditioning and heating equipment can cause cold and warm air to flow through the gas detector, which may cause changes in the platinum wire resistance in the gas detector. Therefore, when using gas detectors, try to stay away from air conditioning and heating equipment to avoid installing them in the wrong location and causing the instrument to malfunction. When using gas detectors, it is also necessary to pay attention to preventing electromagnetic interference.

2. The installation process is not standardized:
The instrument used non-standard methods during installation, which caused the gas detector to malfunction. If the gas detector is not installed correctly near the leaked gas, or is installed close to the exhaust fan, causing the leaked gas to not fully diffuse to the vicinity of the gas detector, making the leaked gas unable to be detected by the gas detector in a timely manner, and the danger cannot be detected by the combustible gas detector in a timely manner. If the gas detector and wiring port are set in a location that is prone to collision or water ingress, it can easily cause electrical circuit breakage or short circuit. When welding instruments, non corrosive flux should be used. Otherwise, the corrosion at the joints may detach or increase the line resistance, which may affect the normal structure. After installation, the instrument can be used for debugging to ensure that the gas detector is in normal working condition.

3. Maintenance:
If a gas detector is used to measure gas concentration, it must be used correctly in the environment. Due to the presence of various polluting gases and some accumulated dust in the environment, some of the current gas detectors are used outdoors for methane detection. If the instrument is not maintained during use, it may lead to measurement errors or failure to detect.
