What are the types of pen used to test?
1. Divide according to the high and low voltage measured
High voltage test pen: used for 10kV and above project operations, as a daily testing tool for electricians;
Low voltage measuring pen: used for detecting live objects with a line voltage of 500V and below.
Weak current tester: used for testing electronic products, with a general test voltage of 6v -24v. For ease of use, the tester often comes with a lead wire with a clamp at the end.
2. Divided by contact method
Contact type test pen: a detection tool that obtains electrical signals by contacting charged objects. Usually in the shape of a straight screwdriver, it can also be used as a test pen and a straight screwdriver; Pen style, displaying measurement data directly in the LCD window.
Induction test pen: Adopting induction testing, it does not require physical contact and can check the voltage on control wires, conductors, and sockets, or check the position of open circuits along the wires. It can greatly ensure the personal safety of testing personnel.
3. Neon tube type measuring pen
Neon tube type measuring pen, also known as electric pen, is used to test whether the metal casing of wires, electrical appliances, and electrical equipment is live. This type of electric pen is divided into two forms: pen type and screwdriver type.
4. Digital measuring pen
Digital display type measuring pen, also known as induction type measuring pen. This type of electric pen can not only test whether an object is charged, but also display a rough voltage range. Some digital measuring pens can detect the location of insulation wire breakage.
