What Aspects Determine the Quality of Industrial pH Meters?
Accuracy of Industrial pH Meters: An industrial pH meter without accuracy has no practical value. It can be verified by calibration with a high-precision industrial pH meter or high-precision standard buffer solutions.
Stability of Industrial pH Meters: Unstable industrial pH meters produce difficult-to-read measurements and cannot guarantee accuracy. Stability is reflected in two aspects. First, the stability of a single unit: place the same industrial pH meter in a stable solution for an extended period and check whether the reading changes and the magnitude of variation. Second, the stability among multiple units: place several calibrated industrial pH meters of the same model in the same stable solution and check whether the readings are consistent and the magnitude of error. If consistent stability cannot be maintained among multiple units of the same model, it will be difficult to ensure the accuracy and stability of every individual meter.
Adjustment of Common Errors of Industrial pH Meters: Temperature is the most obvious factor causing measurement errors for industrial pH meters. The presence of a temperature probe and the sensitivity of the temperature probe also affect the operation of the industrial pH meter.
User-friendliness and Nice Interface of Industrial pH Meters: This aspect can be easily judged by users. Some older industrial pH meters use analog switches, which bring difficulties to calibration. Minor changes are hard to detect and may lead to fatal systematic errors. Due to cost and technical constraints, many industrial pH meters still use LED digital tubes with limited display content, though some manufacturers have taken measures to remedy this drawback. Currently, the widely adopted user-friendly interface consists of LCD liquid crystal display plus keypad operation.
Quality of Industrial pH Electrodes: The performance of industrial pH electrodes directly affects multiple technical indicators of industrial pH meters. Even the best industrial pH meter will not work well if equipped with a poor-quality pH electrode.
Anti-interference Performance of Industrial pH Meters: In recent years, more and more customers have paid attention to the anti-interference performance of industrial pH meters. Well-designed industrial pH meters adopt low-voltage input, which can greatly improve anti-interference performance.
