What cleaning fluid should be used when cleaning an optical microscope?
Optical glass is used for lenses, prisms, lenses, etc. in instruments. During manufacturing and use, it is easy to get stained with oil, water and wet pollutants, fingerprints, etc., which affect imaging and transmittance. When cleaning optical glass, different cleaning agents, tools, and methods should be selected based on the characteristics and different structures of the dirt.
For cleaning lenses coated with anti reflective film, such as camera, slide projector, and microscope lenses, a cleaning agent composed of about 20% alcohol and about 80% ether can be used for cleaning. When cleaning, use a soft bristled brush or cotton ball dipped in a small amount of cleaning agent to make a circular motion from the center of the lens outward. Never soak these types of lenses in cleaning agents for cleaning. When cleaning the lens, do not wipe it hard, otherwise it will damage the anti reflective film and the lens.
Maintenance of optical microscope
1, It is necessary to proficiently master and strictly follow the usage procedures, and operate the microscope according to strict procedures and instructions.
2, When picking up and delivering the microscope, be sure to hold the curved arm with one hand and support the base with the other hand. The microscope should not be tilted to prevent the eyepiece from slipping out of the upper end of the tube. When picking up and delivering microscopes, handle them gently.
3, When observing, do not move the position of the microscope casually.
4, Any optical part of the microscope can only be wiped with special lens wiping paper, and cannot be wiped with other objects or touched with fingers to avoid sweat staining the lens.
5, Keep the microscope dry and clean, avoiding contamination from dust, water, and chemical reagents.
