What distinguishes an optical microscope from a stereo microscope
A standard optical microscope is an accurate optical device. Simple microscopes in the past only had a few lenses, however modern microscopes have a set of lenses. Typical optical microscopes typically have a 1500–2000x magnification range. The mechanical device and the optical system make up the two main components of the structure of a standard optical microscope. The microscope can only function properly when these two components work nicely together.
Stereomicroscope
A shared primary objective lens makes up both the stereo microscope's construction and its workings. After imaging the object, two sets of intermediate objective lenses, often referred to as zoom lenses, divide the two light beams, forming what is known as the stereoscopic angle of view. The magnification change is obtained by changing the distance between the middle lens groups. Using the dual-channel optical path, the left and right beams in the binocular tube are not parallel but have specific clip corners to provide a three-dimensional image for the left and right eyes. Typically, it is 12 degrees- 15 degrees, and then imaged through the respective eyepieces.In essence, it consists of two single-lens tube microscopes put side by side. The optical axis of the two tubes provide a viewing angle similar to what is created when a person looks through a pair of binoculars, creating a three-dimensional stereoscopic image.
The difference between the two:
The use method of stereo microscope is similar to that of ordinary optical microscope, but it is more convenient.
