What do adjustable DC power supplies need to pay attention to to prevent damage?
What precautions should we consider when using an adjustable DC power supply to ensure the normal use of the power supply equipment, the following points are listed here:
(1) The output voltage of this regulated DC power supply can usually be continuously adjusted within the range of 0 to 30V. Determine the output voltage and set it accurately before connecting the power supply device to the load circuit. Otherwise, increasing the voltage will quickly burn out the load circuit.
(2) The output terminal of the regulated DC power supply has two leads, one is positive (shown by the red lead), and the other is negative (shown by the black lead). The two lines are not interchangeable. When connecting the output terminals of the regulated DC power supply, you must first understand the positive and negative power supply terminals of the circuit. If it is reversed, the circuit will burn out.
(3) After turning on the regulated DC power supply, please do not touch the two connecting cables of the output terminal. If you don't touch it, it will short the output terminals and protect the regulated DC power supply, no DC output (press the reset button once to bring the power supply back to normal output).
(4) For ease of use, the positive output wire and negative output wire of the regulated DC power supply are usually connected with red and black wire clips respectively, and the black wire clip (ground wire) is used as the circuit ground wire, and has been repaired, and the red clip is fixed on the circuit. The power adapter is very sturdy and easy to use. Also, cover the outside of the clip with an insulating sleeve to prevent short circuits after bumping the output terminals of the regulated DC power supply.
(5) Some DC stabilized power supplies have a DC ammeter, and can display the DC output of the DC stabilized box at the same time, which is very convenient for maintenance. If there is no such ammeter, a DC ammeter can be connected in series with the output circuit of the regulated DC power supply.
(6) When overhauling the OCL power amplifier circuit, this power amplifier circuit needs a positive and negative balanced power supply, and other circuits also use a positive and negative balanced power supply, so a DC stabilized power supply with two power outputs is used.
(7) When using a regulated power supply that can output two sets of DC voltages, the two sets of circuits are independent, so the output voltages must be set separately.
