What is the principle of a portal infrared thermometer?

The door type thermometer consists of an infrared optical lens, filter, sensor, and electrical signal processing unit, which can detect infrared radiation from the measured target;

And determine the temperature of the target based on its radiation intensity, which can be conveniently installed in various application scenarios, especially suitable for installation in industrial environments that require long-distance and strong interference.

The door type infrared thermometer adopts a cast aluminum shell, which has good protective ability at the temperature measurement site.

This instrument measures the surface temperature of the human forehead, and then obtains the actual body temperature based on the relationship between the temperature of the human forehead and body temperature.

The optical component of the detector collects the energy emitted and reflected by the forehead onto the sensor, converts this information into temperature readings through electronic components, and displays them on the display panel;

When the temperature reading exceeds the high temperature alarm value, the instrument will emit an alarm sound, and the red alarm light will light up. If the temperature is normal, the green alarm light will light up.

working principle:
(1) All objects in nature with temperatures above zero degrees due to the thermal motion of molecules;
They are constantly radiating electromagnetic waves, including infrared bands, into the surrounding space, and their radiation energy density is proportional to the fourth power of the object's temperature.

Tiny temperature changes can cause significant changes in radiation energy, so the sensitivity of using infrared radiation to measure object temperature is high.

(2) The infrared radiation characteristics of the human body are closely related to its surface temperature, with the main wavelength of infrared radiation from the human body ranging from 9 to 10 μ m;

By measuring the infrared energy emitted by the human body itself, the surface temperature of the human body can be accurately determined.

Due to the fact that light within this wavelength range is not absorbed by the air, the infrared energy of human radiation can be used to measure the surface temperature of the human body.

(3) The advantage of infrared temperature measurement technology is non-contact and fast measurement, which can be completed within 1 second.

Due to the fact that infrared thermometers only receive infrared radiation energy emitted by the human body, without any other physical or chemical factors affecting the human body, they are harmless to the human body.
