Non-Contact Voltage Detector (NCV) Put the meter close to the power supply to detect whether there is AC voltage (from 100 to 600VAC). Usage: 1. The detector should be tested on a known live circuit before use. 2. Press and hold the NCV button during the test, when the button is pressed, the meter will beep once, the battery icon will appear briefly, after which the display will go blank. 3. Hold the top of the meter with your hand, close to the power supply, as shown. 4. If there is voltage, the border of the display will flash bright orange and an audible alarm will be heard.
