What precautions should be taken before using the toxic gas detector?

Toxic gas detectors detect the content, concentration and composition of toxic gases in the environment through gas sensors. Toxic gas detectors play a very important role in industrial production. In some petrochemical industries, large amounts of flammable and explosive gases are produced. Some gases are colorless and odorless, but they can cause certain damage to the human body and even endanger life safety in severe cases.

1. Read the operation manual of the gas detector carefully before operation, and become familiar with the performance and operation methods of the machine.

2. Check whether the battery power is sufficient. If the battery power is found to be insufficient, replace it in time.

3. Check whether the air inlet air filter is blocked by debris. If the blockage is blocked, it needs to be cleaned or replaced in time.

4. During the startup process, listen to the graded alarm sound and light alarm and check whether the vibration alarm is accurate. If it does not meet the requirements, it is not allowed to be used and should be calibrated immediately.

5. Start-up time Press the start button for 3 seconds to enter the self-test state, observe the detector setting the low alarm value, and accurately set the high alarm value. If it does not meet the requirements, it is not allowed to be used and should be calibrated immediately.

6. After starting under fresh air conditions, observe whether the initial value is accurate. If the displayed value is inaccurate, it is strictly prohibited to use it and should be calibrated immediately.

Every detail above is related to the safety of the operating environment and operators. Therefore, before using the portable toxic gas detector, all aspects of inspection must be done to avoid unexpected occurrences.
