What separates a stereo microscope from an optical microscope

Ordinary optical microscope is a precision optical instrument. Simple microscopes in the past consisted of just a few lenses, while microscopes in use today consist of a set of lenses. Ordinary optical microscopes can usually magnify objects by 1500-2000 times. The structure of an ordinary optical microscope can be divided into two parts: one is the mechanical device and the other is the optical system. Only when these two parts cooperate well can the microscope play its role.

Stereomicroscope

Stereo Microscope Principle and Stereo Microscope structure is composed of a common primary objective lens. After imaging the object, the two light beams are separated by two sets of intermediate objective lenses, also known as zoom lenses, and form a certain angle called the stereoscopic angle of view. Generally, it is 12 degrees- -15 degrees, and then imaged through the respective eyepieces, its magnification change is obtained by changing the distance between the middle lens groups, using the dual-channel optical path, the left and right beams in the binocular tube are not parallel, but have a certain clip corners to provide a three-dimensional image for the left and right eyes. It is essentially two single-lens tube microscopes placed side by side, and the optical axes of the two tubes form a viewing angle equivalent to that formed when people observe an object with binoculars, thereby forming a three-dimensional stereoscopic image.

The difference between the two:

The use method of stereo microscope is similar to that of ordinary optical microscope, but it is more convenient. The main difference between the two is that: the microscope object of stereo microscope pot does not need to be made into a piece; the cutting table of stereo microscope is directly fixed on the mirror. On the seat, it is equipped with black and white double panels or glass panels, the operator can choose according to the object and requirements of the microscope inspection; the imaging of the stereo microscope is upright, which is convenient for distinguishing the direction during the dissection operation, and there is only one objective lens of the stereo microscope , its magnification can be adjusted continuously by rotating the adjusting screw.
