What types of common gas detectors are there?
The principle of gas detector can be divided into diffusion type and pumping type. The so-called diffusion type is that the probe is placed in the dangerous zone of detecting gas, and the gas to be detected diffuses into the probe from the space, while the alarm is placed in the monitoring room for indication and alarm. The pump suction type sucks the gas to be detected into the detection probe, and the suction pump and the built-in gas detector are set together, which is to set the detector at the dangerous place of the gas to be detected, so as to detect the execution indication and alarm function.
According to the types of detected gases, it can be divided into toxic gas detector and combustible gas detector;
A detector that responds to the concentration of single or multiple combustible gases. The intelligent sensor transmitter used in the detector is a combustible gas sensor transmitter with all functions. Among them, the infrared combustible gas detector is an ideal choice in the following application environments: frequent exposure of catalytic toxic gas, frequent discharge of highly combustible gas, anoxic environment, and environment where detection is difficult to achieve.
According to the detection methods, it can be divided into: natural diffusion gas detector and pumping gas detector;
Diffusion gas detector: The gas in the detected area slowly flows into the instrument with the free flow of air, and it needs to be placed on the site for detection. This method is influenced by the detection environment, such as ambient temperature and wind speed, and is not suitable for low-pressure gas sources. The advantage of diffusion gas detector is that its cost is lower than that of pumping gas detector.
Pump-suction gas detector: the instrument is equipped with a gas sampling pump, and its working mode is that the power supply drives the gas sampling pump to extract and sample the gas in the area to be detected, and then the sample gas is sent to the instrument for detection. Pump-suction gas detector is characterized by fast detection speed, long-distance measurement of dangerous areas, and maintenance of personnel safety. It is suitable for situations where the gas detector can't be placed on site, and there are special requirements for reaction speed and pressure difference.
It can be divided into single gas detector and all-in-one gas detector according to the detection quantity.
Single gas detector: it adopts high-performance catalytic combustion sensor, which can be used to detect all kinds of combustible gases in petrochemical industry, environmental accident, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, gas and other industries, including alkanes, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, hydrogen and so on.
All-in-one gas detector: a detector that can be equipped with a single gas or multiple gas sensors, and can be equipped with a single, two-in-one, three-in-one, four-in-one or four toxic gas sensors or a single gas sensor for detection.
