What cleaning solution should be used when cleaning optical microscopes

Optical glass is used for instrument lenses, prisms, lenses, etc. During manufacturing and use, it is easy to get contaminated with oil, water wet dirt, fingerprints, etc., which affects imaging and transparency. When cleaning optical glass, different cleaning agents, cleaning tools, and cleaning methods should be selected based on the characteristics of dirt and different structures.

Clean lenses coated with anti reflective film, such as those of cameras, projectors, and microscopes, using a cleaning agent of about 20% alcohol and about 80% ether. When cleaning, use a soft bristled brush or cotton ball dipped in a small amount of cleaning agent, and make a circular motion from the center of the lens outward. Do not soak such lenses in cleaning agents for cleaning. When cleaning the lens, do not wipe vigorously, otherwise it will damage the anti reflective film and damage the lens.

Maintenance of optical microscopes
1, It is necessary to proficiently master and strictly follow the usage procedures, and operate the microscope according to strict procedures and instructions.

2, When taking and delivering a microscope, be sure to hold the curved arm with one hand and support the base with the other hand. The microscope should not be tilted to prevent the eyepiece from sliding out from the upper end of the barrel. When taking and delivering microscopes, handle them with care.

3, When observing, do not move the position of the microscope casually.

4, All optical parts of the microscope can only be wiped with special lens wiping paper, and cannot be wiped with other objects indiscriminately, let alone touch the lens with fingers to prevent sweat from contaminating the lens.

5, Keep the microscope dry and clean, avoiding contamination from dust, water, and chemical reagents.
