Which type of multimeter used by electricians is suitable for home use and has a higher cost performance
It is still the pointer type MF-47, although it is old and has never been improved, many data are still based on this old-fashioned pointer meter, especially in home appliance maintenance. It is more convenient to use a pointer meter as an electrician, because most electricians do not have high accuracy requirements, but they require fast measurement of on and off, and the reading of a digital meter jumping back and forth is relatively slow. I am now an electrician and often use an MF47 multimeter. I have two digital meters. When I first bought them, I thought they were fresh, but over time, I realized they were not practical. They have been locked in cabinets for many years.
A multimeter for household use does not require high accuracy, just buy a digital multimeter at will, it is very cheap for a few tens of yuan each. It is better to use a pointer multimeter for industrial and maintenance purposes. When using digital measurement, the digital reflection is too slow and not suitable. Generally, a 2.5-level accuracy meter is sufficient for measurement, and the price is also very cheap. The price of high-precision watches will be much higher, whether it is worth buying depends on the needs.
The household usage frequency is low, and the measurement accuracy requirements are not high. Generally, a small pointer multimeter is sufficient. If you have the ability to use a microampere head to make a multimeter, it is very simple. If you add five diodes, a resistor, and a two pole double throw toggle switch, it can be made into a dual-purpose meter for measuring 22O voltage and on/off (of course, a small battery is also needed)
Determine the gear and accuracy of the multimeter based on the voltage, current, and resistance range you measure. A multimeter suitable for households to measure voltage within the range of AC 60V-500V; DC within DC1-600V; Current within 0.5MA-10A; Resistance within 1 Ω -10k Ω. Suggest using MF47 pointer multimeter.
The domestically produced Victory watch is good, cheap in price, practical in function, but there may be errors when used in resistance mode, and the accuracy is not a problem for daily application. I have been using it all along, the buzzing sound is loud, and it is very convenient to check for short circuits and open circuits.
