Why do instruments sometimes measure inaccurately?
This is a rather general question. Because there are many different reasons for inaccurate measurement. For the coating thickness gauge alone, there are mainly the following reasons for inaccurate measurement.
(1) strong magnetic field interference. We have done a simple experiment, when the instrument in about 10,000 V electromagnetic field near the work, the measurement will be seriously interfered with. If the electromagnetic field is very close to the phenomenon of death may also occur.
(2) Human factors. This often happens to new users. Coating thickness gauge is able to measure to the micron level because it can take the magnetic flux of small changes, and convert it into a digital signal. If the user is not familiar with the instrument during the measurement process, the probe may deviate from the body being measured, causing the magnetic flux to change and resulting in erroneous measurements. Therefore, it is recommended that the user should master the measurement method when using the instrument for the first time. The placement of the probe has a great influence on the measurement, and the probe should be kept perpendicular to the surface of the specimen during the measurement. And the probe should not be placed for too long, so as not to cause interference with the magnetic field of the substrate itself. (3) In the system calibration did not choose a suitable substrate. The minimum plane of the substrate is 7mm, the minimum thickness of 0.2mm, below this critical condition measurement is unreliable. Coating thickness gauge influence factors related questions and answers
(4) Influence of adhering substances. This instrument is sensitive to adhesive substances that prevent the probe from making close contact with the surface of the covering layer. Therefore, it is necessary to attach substances to ensure that the probe is in direct contact with the surface of the covering layer. The surface of the substrate selected for system calibration must also be bare and smooth. Coating thickness gauge influence factors related questions and answers
(5) Instrument failure. At this time, you can communicate with the technician or return to the factory for repair.
