Why does the electric soldering iron stay cold even after being turned on?

What causes the electric soldering iron to remain cold after being powered on? When a soldering iron is turned on, if it is not immediately hot, it has probably been dropped or its core wire has cracked. To measure the two ends of the power plug when this problem occurs, utilize the multimeter's Rlkn block. If the multimeter's pointer does not move, there is likely an open circuit fault.

The lead wire of the plug itself should first be inspected for damage. If not, you can take off the bakelite handle and measure the two leads of the soldering iron core using a multimeter after removing the handle. The soldering iron core needs to be replaced if the multimeter's pointer still does not move, which indicates that it is damaged. The soldering iron core of the 35W internal heating type has a resistance of roughly 1.Skfl between the two leads. If the measured resistance is within the typical range, the soldering iron's core is in good condition. Most defects are lead wire breakouts, and they manifest themselves in the power lead and the plug itself.

To replace the soldering iron core, fasten the lead wire to the fixing screw, insert a new soldering iron core with the same specifications into the connecting rod, and tighten the terminal post. To prevent a short circuit between the two leads, be careful to carefully cut out the remaining soldering iron core lead wire.

Electric soldering iron: A device used mostly for joining parts and wires, it is made up of a soldering iron head, a soldering iron core, a shell, a wooden handle, a power lead, and a plug number. It is used in electronic production and electrical maintenance.

The electric soldering iron operates on the following principle: When the power is turned on, the resistance wire that runs through the soldering iron core generates heat. This heat is then delivered to the soldering iron tip, which melts the solder to operate.

Not hot is the soldering iron. The resistance wire in the soldering iron head possibly being blown is the primary cause. The soldering iron's weak spot is here. Just swap out the core of the soldering iron. But it is unable to fix problems with plugs and power cords. Therefore, if the electric soldering iron is not heating up, check the power plug and power cable with a multimeter first, then, after cleaning, check the soldering iron core.
