Working principle of hydrogen sulfide gas detector

The working principle of hydrogen sulfide gas detector:
The hydrogen sulfide gas detector adopts the imported original ampere-type electrochemical sensor, which is usually composed of three electrodes immersed in the electrolyte. The working electrode is made of a catalytically active metal coated on a gas-permeable but water-repellent membrane. The gas to be measured diffuses through the porous membrane and undergoes an electrochemical oxidation or reduction reaction on it. The nature of the reaction depends on the thermodynamic potential of the working electrode and the electrochemical (oxidation or reduction) properties of the gas being analyzed.
In the electrochemical reaction, the electrons participating in the reaction flow into (reduction) or flow out (oxidation) of the working electrode. The working signal of the working electrode is amplified by the operational amplifier U2 to become the output signal of the instrument. The circuit simultaneously maintains the working electrode voltage at its bias voltage VBIAS. The reference electrode provides a stable potential for the working electrode in the electrolyte.

After the potential of the reference electrode is compared with VBIAS, the operational amplifier U1 outputs a voltage signal whose magnitude is just to generate a current signal equal to and opposite to that of the working electrode. At the same time, the circuit maintains a constant potential difference between the working electrode and the reference electrode. The measuring electrode is only the second electrode needed for a complete electrochemical sensor, and its main function is to allow electrons to enter or flow out of the electrolyte.
In summary, this is the working principle of the hydrogen sulfide gas detector. It is precisely because of the unique advantages of the hydrogen sulfide gas detector that it can be widely used in oil chemical industry, artificial gas, metallurgy, steel, coking, electric power, tunnels, mines and other dangerous working environments. It is an ideal controller to ensure the safety of property and personal.
