First, use a multimeter to measure the leakage voltage, put the multimeter switch on the AC voltage measurement position, generally in the AC voltage 250V position, then insert the black test lead into the soil near the device under test, and connect the red test lead to the metal of the device. on the shell. At this time, look at the indicator on the multimeter. If the needle does not move, you can change it to a low gear one by one until the specific data is indicated, which is the leakage voltage of the device. If there is still no indication when the test pen is at the lowest level, it means that the device has no leakage.
Second, use an electroscope to check for leakage. The inspector directly connects the electroscope pen with the metal shell of the electrical equipment. When the neon tube in the electroscope pen lights up, it means that the equipment has leakage and the leakage voltage is high. When the neon tube is not bright, it does not mean that the equipment has no leakage. It may be that the leakage voltage is low and the neon tube cannot light up, or there may be no leakage voltage.
Third, when there is no multimeter and electroscope pen, you can touch the metal casing of the electrical equipment with the back of your hand. When there is numbness or electric shock, it means that the device has leakage voltage. When there is an electric shock, you must be vigilant, indicating that the leakage voltage is relatively high. It is necessary to stop the machine to check and analyze the reason, and use it after troubleshooting, otherwise there may be an electric shock accident.
