Feedback from our Spain customer about our Wood moisture meter and you will know how it works
As a woodworker, especially for my blanks for making bowls on the wood lathe, I often use my moisture meter. So even though I have a meter when I saw this I had to check it out. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with the meter I got, but it’s like trading in my volt for a corvette. Sure both will get you there, but it’s a ‘vette. So with that said I was looking forward to this meter arriving, it was worth the wait. This meter has a big, bright display. Three color backlight, ranging from yellow to orange then red, quickly with just a glance you know what to expect. Those three colors in that order rate the moisture content from lowest to highest. Included in the user guide are charts that are broken down for many different items, showing what percentage of moisture an item is containing. Meter displays this information via the backlight color, a bar graph and a numeric percentage. Relative humidity in percentages is displayed along with temperature. When needed meter can display max/min readings. Reading can be displayed either in metric or imperial. Being this is a pin style meter, pins need to be push into item being metered. Damage from pins is minimal and one must search to even find the contact points. Tested up against different makers model of pin based meters this one was very accurate with matching results to well trusted competitors. Selection of items tested can range from is a simple push of a button away. Settings are adapted to two different categories of items, tree based items as in rough cut lumber etc. and different construction materials. Leaks can be traced by taking multiple readings along a area of concern, using the min/max feature it can be traced to source. Included with meter are a set of replacement pins, a set of a batteries to get you started, a user friendly and in-depth owners manual and a cloth storage bag.
