10 maintenance tips for optical microscopes
(1) Must be proficient in and strictly adhere to the usage regulations.
(2) When taking and delivering a microscope, be sure to hold the curved arm with one hand and support the base with the other hand. The microscope should not be tilted to prevent the eyepiece from sliding out from the upper end of the barrel. When taking and delivering microscopes, handle them with care.
(3) When observing, do not move the position of the microscope casually.
(4) All optical parts of the microscope can only be wiped with special lens wiping paper, and cannot be wiped with other objects indiscriminately, let alone touch the lens with fingers to prevent sweat from contaminating the lens.
(5) Keep the microscope dry and clean, avoiding contamination from dust, water, and chemical reagents.
(6) When switching the objective lens, do not move the animal lens, only rotate the converter.
(7) Do not rotate the focusing handwheel casually. When using the micro focus knob, use light force, rotate slowly, and do not turn hard when unable to do so.
(8) It is not allowed to disassemble the parts on the microscope at will, and it is strictly prohibited to disassemble the objective lens at will to avoid damaging the converter screw or causing uneven focus during the conversion of low and high magnification objectives due to loose screw.
(9) When using a high-power objective, do not use a coarse focusing handwheel to adjust the focal length, so as not to move too far and damage the objective and glass slide.
(10) Before returning it after use, it is necessary to check if there is any water or reagents on the objective lens. If there is, it should be wiped clean, and the stage should be wiped clean. Then, place the microscope in the box and pay attention to locking the box.
