Analysis of common faults in the use of gas detectors

When we need to detect the gas concentration in the air, we should use a gas detector. Because the gas detector will be affected by various factors when it is used, if you do not pay attention to the method of use, it may cause it to malfunction. After the instrument fails, it will lead to deviations in the detection results. This is something that needs attention.

Common fault causes of gas detectors
1. If the sensor in the gas detector is damaged, no matter what changes in the gas concentration in the air, the displayed data will not change any more. In order to ensure the normal operation of the gas detector, it needs to be tested regularly and quickly. Failure to do so may result in biased measurement results.

2. Harsh environment and severe vibration will cause damage to the instrument. If the gas concentration in the currently applied environment exceeds the detectable range of the instrument, the sensor will also be damaged. And the filter membrane and the sensor port will also be polluted by liquid, impurities or dust, which will seriously affect the measurement degree. At this time, the calibration may fail.

3. The detection environment is harsh, the ambient temperature changes greatly, or it needs to be exposed to seawater or humid heat for a long time. These environments have high requirements on the stability of the gas detector. Long-term use in these environments may cause the gas detector to fail, and general instruments cannot be used in such extreme environments for a long time.

Gas detector maintenance method
1. When using the instrument, it is necessary to check the gas flow rate through the instrument. Generally, the gas flow rate is 30/h. If the flow rate is too large or too small, it will have a great impact on the measurement results.

2. The filter paper needs to be replaced in time after the instrument has been used for a period of time: stop the pump and drain the filter tank.

3. It is necessary to check whether there is any air leakage in the gas system of the instrument, check whether the weeping pump diaphragm is damaged, whether the sealing ring of the sampling probe is broken, whether the four-way valve, condensing steam and other components are damaged, etc.

4. Clean the sampling probe and dredge the sampling hole pipeline

5. Check whether the operating state of the condenser is normal, generally need to adjust its temperature within 3 degrees Celsius

6. Check whether the measuring device components are dirty and need to be cleaned in time.
