Analysis on the Causes of Measuring Errors of Anemometer

The anemometer is still a relatively common equipment and instrument, but some measurement errors often occur during our operation. Why does this happen? I believe that many people will have this question. Today, the editor will popularize the measurement errors of the anemometer. Most of the reasons are as follows

1. Installation error

Since the anemometer is an instrument for on-site use, the environmental conditions during use are far from those in the laboratory. It can be seen from the working principle of the instrument that before calibration, the rotation axis of the wind speed sensor and the coupling of the anemometer need to be connected with a hose, and the rotation axis of the sensor is required to be strictly concentric with the rotation axis of the instrument. If it is eccentric, the rotational torque of the coupling cannot be completely transmitted to the rotational shaft of the wind speed sensor, which will easily cause inflexible rotation, which will bring errors to the measurement results. Therefore, it is necessary to repeatedly adjust its concentricity during installation, and then start the calibration work after adjustment.

Second, the error caused by the unstable wind speed

Due to the principle of the circuit, if the data is recorded when the anemometer display shows that the data is not stable, it will bring errors to the measurement results. In order to overcome the influence of this error, after the wind speed value is adjusted, the data displayed on the display screen of the calibrator must be stabilized before recording, and the stabilization time shall not be less than 2 minutes.

3. Errors caused by calibration parameters

The same wind speed sensor has different wind speed equations, so there are also different calibration parameters. If a standard is used to calibrate different types of wind speed sensors, the parameters of different wind speed sensors must be corrected. When performing calibration, you should input the relevant calibration parameters with the dial of the anemometer, and check whether the display value of the calibrator corresponding to the calibration parameters is correct. If the display value is correct, the calibration work can be carried out, otherwise, measurement errors will occur. .
