Appearance structure of clamp ammeter, inspection items of clamp ammeter
Inspection items of clamp ammeter
① Appearance inspection:
All parts should be intact; the operation of the pliers should be flexible; the iron core of the jaws should be rust-free and tightly closed; the insulation sheath of the iron core should be intact; the pointer should be able to swing freely;
②Adjustment:
Put the watch flat, the pointer should point to zero, otherwise adjust to zero.
The clamp ammeter is easy to carry, and it can directly measure the current of the electrical equipment in operation without disconnecting the power supply and the line, so as to know the working status of the equipment in time.
Precautions for using clamp current
①Estimate the magnitude of the measured current before measurement, and select the appropriate range.
If it cannot be estimated, in order to prevent damage to the clamp ammeter, start measuring from the maximum range, and gradually change gears until the range is appropriate. When changing the range, the clamp ammeter should be withdrawn.
②In order to reduce the error, the measured wire should be located in the center of the jaws as much as possible during measurement.
③When measuring, the jaws of the clamp ammeter should be tightly closed. If the pointer shakes, open and close the jaws again. If the shaking still exists, check carefully, pay attention to remove debris and dirt from the jaws, and then measure.
④ When measuring a small current, in order to make the reading more accurate, when conditions permit, the measured current-carrying wire can be wound several times and then put into the jaws for measurement. At this time, the actual current value of the wire under test should be equal to the reading value of the meter divided by the number of wire coils put into the jaws.
⑤The voltage of the circuit under test cannot exceed the rated voltage of the clamp ammeter. Clamp meters cannot measure high voltage electrical equipment.
⑥ Do not turn the transfer switch to shift gears during the measurement process. Before shifting gears, the current-carrying wire should be withdrawn from the jaws.
⑦ After the measurement is completed, the range switch should be placed in the highest gear, in order to prevent the meter from being damaged due to negligence in the next use, and the measurement range is not selected correctly.
