Application of online infrared thermometer in iron and steel mill

 

The use of an online infrared thermometer on the dome of a hot blast stove is a special occasion. The measurement of dome temperature not only needs to solve the high temperature and high pressure problems of the measured target, but also adapt to the requirements of outdoor environmental changes throughout the year. After repeated practice and improvement, we have designed a dedicated protective device with a sealed window. The usage method is to fix the infrared probe equipped with a protective device on the original position where the thermocouple is inserted on the dome, so that the probe can aim at the inside of the hot air stove through a sealed window and thermocouple socket, measure the temperature of the dome of the hot air stove, and send the probe signal to the instrument box installed on the control cabinet through a cable for processing, display the temperature value, and output a 4-20mA standard current signal, which is sent to the recorder or computer for processing. Due to the fact that the infrared probe of this system does not come into contact with high-temperature targets, it has the characteristics of stability, reliability, and long service life. It can usually operate continuously for more than five years, reducing thermocouple consumption and greatly reducing equipment operating costs and maintenance workload.


Measurement of internal temperature of hot air duct
The temperature measurement device of this system is basically similar to the dome temperature measurement system. An infrared probe equipped with a protective device is installed on the socket of the original thermocouple in the hot air duct. The infrared probe passes through the sealed window of the protective device and then through the socket of the original thermocouple, aiming at the inside of the hot air duct to measure the temperature inside the hot air duct. Due to the temperature probe of this system being installed outside the sealed window, the entire temperature measurement system is completely isolated from the hot air inside the tube. Therefore, the system can be replaced or maintained without affecting the working status of the hot air inside the tube. However, the commonly used thermocouples had to be replaced in the idle state, and thermocouples are consumables that are frequently damaged. This temperature measurement system can reduce thermocouple consumption and lower equipment operating costs. Currently, the system has been used by units such as Bengang, Chenggang, and Laigang, and has achieved good economic benefits.


Measurement of iron temperature in front of the furnace
The method of measuring the molten iron in front of the furnace with JTCIN series infrared thermometer is to fix the infrared thermometer probe equipped with a blowing sleeve on a bracket 5-15 meters away from the molten iron, aim it at the iron ditch, and continuously scan and measure each furnace of molten iron. The temperature signal measured by the probe is connected to a recorder to print the temperature curve or sent to a computer for data processing. The biggest advantage of this system is that it can automatically and continuously measure the temperature of each furnace of molten iron, effectively avoiding the influence of human factors caused by manual insertion of temperature measurement methods. By analyzing the recorded temperature curves or other computer processed information, the trend of temperature changes in each furnace of molten iron can be more accurately reflected, and the highest temperature of each furnace can be intuitively read. The application of online infrared thermometers in iron smelting plants provides strong basis for production management and process improvement. At present, the system has been used by units such as Egang and Shougang, and has received high praise from users.
