Applications of New-type Digital Multimeters in Industries
Digital multimeter for detecting car faults
When troubleshooting the electrical components of a car, the most important thing is the process of inferring the cause of the malfunction. This process is very important. This is because you cannot see the internal situation and cannot disassemble a large number of components like mechanical parts. By utilizing logic and reasonable steps, problems can be quickly identified. The key tool in this process is a multimeter.
A multimeter is one of the most commonly used automotive electrical maintenance tools, used to test voltage, current, and resistance. But the input impedance of the analog (pointer) multimeter used in the early days was too low, which had a significant impact on the electronic circuit during measurement. This type of meter mostly uses 9V voltage to test resistance, so it is easy to damage sensitive electronic components. But the RIGOL DM3000 digital multimeter completely avoids this situation.
Its input impedance is high, and its accuracy and performance are superior to analog meters. The voltage during resistance measurement is also low, so it will not damage the components of each sensor. But there is also a problem with general numerical tables. It cannot display information on the increase or decrease in measurement readings. During exhaust emission testing and engine analysis, it will be found that pure digital meters cannot provide stable change values. DM3000 overcomes the shortcomings of digital meters and replaces them with analog/digital combination meters. It has the advantages of both digital meters and analog meters for dynamic measurement.
Monitoring of base station electrical signals
As a large set of equipment, a base station needs to monitor a large number of signals. Especially monitoring the power supply and environment of the base station. Power supply is the basic condition for equipment operation, and different environmental factors such as temperature and humidity can affect the operation and lifespan of the equipment. Monitoring the parameter values in these areas can help prevent and solve problems. Long term monitoring and statistical analysis of saved data can provide more references for future use and development.
In the entire base station system, the power module supplies power to each module. There are four types of power supplies to the RF module board, namely 7.2V, 5.5V, 3.3V, and 2.5V, with a required accuracy of+1%. The ambient temperature of the base station's computer room is normal between 15-30 ℃, otherwise it is abnormal. The humidity of the computer room is normal between 40% and 65%, otherwise it is abnormal. For these routine data, they can be monitored through the inspection function of the DM3000 digital multimeter.
