Detection Principle of Household Gas Detectors

A gas detector, also known as a gas alarm, generally consists of two parts: a gas alarm controller and a gas detector. The controller connects to various gas detectors via wired or wireless links to realize the detection of different gas concentrations.

The controller is equipped with audible and visual alarm indicators. It will trigger an audible and visual alarm once an abnormal condition is detected. The gas detector can also interlock with a solenoid valve. When the gas concentration exceeds the limit, the solenoid valve will shut down to cut off the pipeline.

Basic Detection Principle of Household Gas Detectors

A gas detector is important fire safety equipment for preventing fires, poisoning and other accidents caused by gas leakage. It can send out an alarm promptly once gas leaks, allowing emergency measures to be taken quickly to avoid accidents or prevent disasters from escalating.

A gas detection system is usually composed of three parts: detector, transmission channel and alarm controller. The detector consists of a sensor and signal processing unit for detecting gas or smoke. The sensor is the core component of the gas alarm detector.

Sensors adopting different principles can form alarm detectors of various types and purposes for detecting different gases.

Common detectors include infrared human body sensors, door and window magnetic contact sensors, smoke fire detectors, gas leakage detectors, water immersion detectors and so on.

Gas detection systems are widely used in residential houses to prevent explosion and poisoning accidents caused by gas leakage, as well as for smoke and gas leak alarming, so as to protect personal safety and health.
