Do infrared thermometers pose a risk to health?
According to the research and experiments of various experts in my country, the infrared thermometer accepts the radiation of the human body and is a completely passive working instrument. It does not emit any electromagnetic waves and does not cause the slightest harm to the human body.
The role of the red laser is only to assist aiming. Please be careful not to point the laser at the eyes, or turn off the laser when measuring the human body.
The principle of the infrared thermometer is based on the principle of Planck and Botsmann's law. The non-contact infrared thermometer measures the surface temperature of the object by absorbing the infrared energy radiated from the surface of the human body, that is, the infrared temperature detected by the infrared probe. The energy is converted into an electrical signal, which is processed by a circuit and finally converted into a temperature reading.
Whether the non-contact thermometer can measure accurately or not, you need to pay attention to choosing an instrument with better accuracy.
How far is the infrared thermometer suitable for measurement
Please pay attention to the distance coefficient marked on the instrument. Usually, the larger the coefficient, the smaller the target can be measured at the same distance, or the same large target can be measured at a farther distance.
Try to ask the person to be measured to stay in the measurement environment for a long enough time; the measurement place should be selected indoors as far as possible, and avoid direct sunlight on the infrared radiation thermometer and the forehead of the person to be measured; the distance between the person to be measured should be accurately estimated; The forehead temperature is generally 1-3 degrees Celsius lower than the armpit temperature. At this time, the armpit temperature data with fever should be converted into forehead temperature data.
The infrared ear thermometer measures the ear temperature, and the measurement can be completed within 1 second. Since the human eardrum and ear canal are less affected by external environmental conditions, the infrared ear thermometer can accurately measure body temperature. The human ear temperature is generally 0.4 degrees Celsius higher than the armpit temperature. This is the indication value of the infrared ear thermometer should convert the underarm temperature data with fever into ear temperature data;
In order to ensure the accuracy and stability of the infrared radiation thermometer, it should be checked regularly with a standard calibration device; non-contact infrared radiation thermometers are divided into two types: industrial and medical, and medical infrared radiation thermometers should be used when measuring body temperature, because industrial use is relatively In terms of wide range, low resolution, and large error; various infrared thermometers range from high to low according to their measurement accuracy: medical thermometers, infrared ear thermometers, and body surface infrared radiation thermometers.
