Does gas detector need annual inspection?

The service life of the combustible gas detector sensor itself is generally 3-5 years, and it is closely related to the environment of the place of use. Industrial products of internationally renowned brands must be inspected once every 6 months.

GB/T 12474-2008 "Method for determination of explosion limits of combustible gases in air"
GB 50493-2009 "Design Specifications for Detection and Alarm of Combustible and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Industry"
Regular annual inspections of combustible gas alarms are the guarantee for daily use. The state stipulates that the statutory measurement department or legally authorized organization shall follow the verification procedures and provide proof through experiments to determine that the indication error of the measuring instrument meets the specified requirements. This activity is called verification. Combustible gas alarms are measuring instruments subject to statutory mandatory verification. The quality inspection and measurement department should verify the combustible gas alarms in use every year and issue a verification certificate to ensure that they meet the measurement performance.
