Extensive Application Fields of Gas Detectors
① Hospitals A large number of toxic substances can be generated in medical laboratories and medical waste exhaust gas. Large-scale hospitals are equipped with on-site power supply systems and standby power stations, so gas detectors are required to safeguard the safety and health of patients and medical staff.
② Tunnels and Parking Lots Toxic exhaust gases from vehicles need to be monitored in road tunnels and enclosed parking garages. Ventilation fans in modern tunnels and parking lots are automatically controlled based on gas monitoring data. Natural gas accumulation inside tunnels also requires real-time detection. Gas pollution and hazards cannot be underestimated for public health and safety.
③ Semiconductor Manufacturing In semiconductor production, phosphorus, arsenic, boron, gallium and other substances are frequently used as dopants. Hydrogen is adopted as a reactant and carrier gas for reducing ambient air. A great many highly toxic and flammable chemicals are consumed during the process, releasing large volumes of flammable and toxic gases. For this reason, gas detectors have become indispensable equipment.
④ Power Plants Coal and oil are the primary fuels for power generation, while natural gas is widely used in power stations across Europe and the United States. Gas monitors are deployed to detect flammable gases such as natural gas and hydrogen, as well as toxic gases including carbon monoxide and sulfur oxides.
⑤ Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry Gas detectors are widely applied in petroleum and gas operation sites and various industrial facilities. During the exploitation, transportation, storage and refining of oil and natural gas, explosive flammable hydrocarbon gases and toxic substances like hydrogen sulfide may leak out. Therefore, gas detectors play a vital role in exploration drilling platforms, terminal stations and refineries.
⑥ Chemical Plants Chemical facilities discharge massive amounts of toxic gases during production, making them one of the largest end-users of gas detection devices. Detectors are installed in raw material storage areas, laboratory test zones, compressor stations, restricted and non-restricted areas to monitor common hydrocarbons and various toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia.
⑦ Boiler Rooms Gas leaks from boilers and their surrounding pipelines pose severe threats to indoor personnel safety and the surrounding environment. Hence, gas detectors are essential safety equipment for all boiler rooms.
